Margie Lou Earl Simmons, 88 of Clarkdale, went home to be with the Lord on March 11, 2010. She was born February 16, 1922 in Lucedale , Mississippi , the youngest child of George and Evaline Colville.
Margie's first husband, Clifford Earl and her second husband, Joe Simmons preceded her in death, as did her seven brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by daughters Carol Koestline (Charlie) of Columbia, SC; Deedy Gregg (Terry) of Clarkdale; Linda Engle (Ken) of Sun Lakes; and Bonnie Turner (Don) of Springerville; sons Stanley Earl (Linda) of Cottonwood and Bob Earl (Susan) of Tucson; 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Margie's oldest child Richard Earl died in infancy.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 14 at Westcott Funeral Home from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 15 at Westcott Funeral Home at 1:00pm. Interment will be at Middle Verde Cemetery .
