George Leonard, born November 22, 1907, died of old age July 3, 2010 in Cottonwood. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Dina of Cottonwood; sons Jeff (Val) of Cottonwood and Bill (Claudia) of Kingsport, Tennesee; daughter Jean Ogburn of San Andreas, California; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
He had great stories, humor to the end and was a fine example to all. 101 really good years and a slow one year slide to the end is not bad at all.
A Memorial Mass will be said at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cottonwood on August 2 at 11 AM with a recpetion to follow in the parish hall.
